School—Parent Compacts

The Kindergarten teachers will work with students and their families to support students’ success in reading and math. Some of our key connections with families will be:

• We will provide high-quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive and effective learning environment that enables the participating children to meet the State’s student academic achievement standards.
• We will communicate through conferences, telephone calls, notes, emails, newsletters, report cards, scheduled meetings, Communication Folders, and academic events.
• We will hold parent-teacher conferences at least two times a year, during which this compact will be discussed as it relates to the individual child’s achievement.
• We will provide parents/guardians reasonable access to staff, opportunities to volunteer, participate in their child’s class, and to observe classroom activities, in person or on Class Dojo.

• We will maintain regular communication with the teacher through Class Dojo.

The First Grade teachers will work with students and their families to support students’ success in
reading and math. Some of our key connections with families will be:

• We will provide high-quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive and effective learning environment that enables the participating children to meet the State’s student academic achievement standards.
• We will communicate through conferences, telephone calls, notes, emails, newsletters, report cards, scheduled meetings, Homework Folders, Class Dojo, and academic events.
• We will hold parent-teacher conferences at least two times a year, during which this compact will be discussed as it relates to the individual child’s achievement.
• We will provide parents/guardians with frequent reports on their children’s progress, through conferences, progress and report cards, and updates when necessary.

• We will provide parents/guardians with frequent reports on their children’s progress, through conferences, progress reports and report cards, and updates when necessary.
• We will provide parents/guardians reasonable access to staff, opportunities to volunteer, participate in their child’s class, and observe classroom activities.
• We will offer learning opportunities for grade specific strategies and activities for parents to engage in with their children at home.

• We will provide parents/guardians reasonable access to staff, opportunities to volunteer, participate in their child’s class, and observe classroom activities.
• We will offer parents specific information and learning opportunities about how to help their children, including what to do at home to support their child’s academic achievement.
